Healthy Meal Plan Suggestions

Here are some meal plan suggestions that work for the 24 Day Challenge:

Lunch

  • Tuna with canola mayo, carrots, celery, cucumbers
  • Grilled chicken with steamed veggies and hummus
  • Grilled chicken salad with zero calorie dressing
  • Grilled fish and steamed veggies
  • Egg salad with mustard and a tiny amount of canola mayo on top of mixed greens
  • Leftovers from dinner 🙂

  1. Hi Advogirl,
    I have my meal replacement shake for dinner since I go to go Yoga afterwards . Is it OK ?
    My advisor did not tell me that we cannot have Meal Replacement Shakes during cleanse phase, so I did take those shakes on the days I went for Yoga.
    WILL THIS EFFECT THE WEIGHT LOSS?

      The breakfast shake is done in Phase 2. Some teams use in Phase 1. If you used some, and had ordered a kit, you will need more. It is hard to know about the results without knowing what you are eating and drinking. For best results follow these instructions.

  2. Is catfish okay during the cleanse? Is any fish okay?

      Most fish is fine, as long as you cook it without a lot of fat, breading or sauces. Try our fish grilling method.

  3. I just started Max phase today. Can I have jalepenos with my food?

      You are fine if using raw. The canned are super high in sodium.

  4. I am on my first day of the cleanse. Is decaff herbal tea okay?

    1. @ Kristen,
      Use Spark and water. You can also use some herbal tea, but don’t substitute for the Spark and water.

  5. can scrambled eggs be used instead of hard boiled?

      You can do scrambled eggs, but do in non-stick pan, and don’t add milk.

  6. I have a few questions for you:

    I am on the Max phase. Do I have to have “hard-boiled” eggs, or can I make egg white omelets? Ingredients include fresh salsa (no sugar added, just fresh veggies), fresh spinach, and pepper. That is all.

    Also, is it okay to have a piece of bread once or twice a day as your carb (Ezekial bread)?

      The ezekial bread is okay on Phase 2 as your carb, but would only do once a day, and be sure that you are losing. The omelet okay. Use PAM instead of butter to cook.

  7. im doing the cleanse 1st day today. i didnt know you had to eat fruit for breakfast. i ate oatmeal plain yuk! then i had an apple then i had another apple then i ate a mixed salad with black olives cherry tomatoes and tuna on top with lemon juice. then i ate pineapples about 7 chunks, then i ate almonds. i been drinking lots of water all i been doing is peeing all day. is this ok?

      Be sure that you are using fresh fruit with no sugar added. The rest of the instructions are here.

  8. Just wondering what, if any, snack options are for maybe a light morning snack/afternoon snack?

      100 calorie bags of RAW almonds are good, and so are hard boiled eggs. See other suggestions here.

  9. Why cant you use the meal replacements during the cleanse?.. My distributor clearly sent me a schedule saying to drink one in the morning?

      Some groups do use them, but our group eliminates dairy during the cleanse.

  10. I didn’t know that the meal replacement shakes are not allowed during the 10 day cleanse. I also did not know that they have dairy in them.

  11. I cant drink the fiber drink!! I just instantly start throwing it up.. It must be the texture.. What can I do? And if I do everything else how is this going to affect my overall challange? And does smoking ciggaretts affect the challenge?

    2. Chug the fiber drink like a horrible shot and then on the last sip rinse your mouth with water and drink a glass of water.

  12. Can I have one glass of wine with dinner on Phase 2? How about edamame as a veggie?

      For best results, skip the wine. Edamame is okay, but be careful with portion size.

  13. Breakfast: can you eat eggs? or egg whites?

      Hard boiled eggs on the cleanse. Can be used as snack after cleanse since you will be using meal replacement shakes for breakfast.

      Our group does not use meal replacements until after the cleanse since we avoid dairy for first 10 days.

  15. can you have eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast on the 10 cleanse?

  16. I just started the 10 day cleanse, I had my fiber drink and 30 min later i had 2 fried eggs and 2 pieces of turkey bacon, i have been reading on her that you shouldn’t eat but fruit for breakfast. so did i mess up on the cleanse already???

      You can have olives, but would limit the amount.

  19. Can I have natural peanut butter with my apples?

      Natural peanut butter with no sugar added. 2 tablespoons max per day.

  20. If you are allergic to nuts, what do you recommend substituting in their place?

      Nuts are not required. Hard boiled eggs (with small mount of fruit or vegetables if you like) are a great snack.

  21. Hi I am about to start the Herbal Cleanse chanllenge, and I was wondering if you could help me out with some suggestions for breakfast? I don’t normally eat breakfast so this will be a big challege for me. So if you could please give me as many suggestions that you can think of lol!! Thanks so much!!

      Your breakfast on the cleanse is fruit. We suggest berries, an apple, melon, etc. You can add a hard boiled egg. In Phase 2 you will be using the meal replacement shake for breakfast.

  22. Hi, I am about to start the Herbal cleanse, and I was just wondering what the rules where about using seasoning like salt and pepper or garlic and lemon pepper? Are any of those allowed to be used if used in small amounts?

    1. Yes, those can be used. Any that have salt (some seasoned peppers do) should be used in small amounts. You can go to town on garlic or regular pepper. 🙂

  23. is greek yogurt okay during 10 day cleanse?

  24. Hi, Advogirl. Thank you for being here to answer our questions! This is my first day of the cleanse. I normally take daily an iron supplement, B complex, Zinc and Vitamin D as I’ve been told by my doctor that I’m deficient. Can I keep taking these during the 24 day challenge, including the cleanse phase?

      Please check with your doctor as some of those items are in the products during Phase II. Also this may help.

      No Crystal Light. Use Spark and plain water. You may add lemon to your water.

  27. I am on day 2 of the cleanse. I have been doing an apple with my fiber drink in the morning. For my mid morning snack I have boiled eggs with an orange. I was told to mix my fiber drink with OJ ( I am using Tropicana 50 % less) My question is I am winding up having 46 carbs at breakfast with no protein. That doesn’t seem right but I am following the plan. Please let me know if I need to do something else.

      That is not correct. Fiber drink, then half hour later fruit. No juice at all.

  28. I am on the max phase and had a question about the packets and when to take them. I work out first thing in the morning before work. When should I take the morning packets? 1 when I wake up and the other with breakfast after my workout?

  29. I’m on day 6 and not feeling or really seeing any changes. I work out very hard and stay very active. I’m using the challenge to drop 10 lbs and tone up. My advisor told me to stick with chicken breasts, fish, veggies, eggs and fruit obviously nothing fried and that I can eat as much as I want. I’ve found I’m eating more and constantly hungry. Should I be counting calories or really watching how much I should be eating? Please help

  30. Can you drink “Naked” Juice since it is 100% pureed juice

    1. No juice. Use whole fruit as indicated instructions.

  31. Two quick questions:
    1) I thought no fruit with breakfast!?!? Am I right or wrong on this one. I would love to do eggs with fruit but thought the suggestion was protein, veg, carb. Can the fruit count as the carb?

    2) I also thought no fats with meals just protein, veg, and carb. Is it ok to use zero cal dressing or mayo when desired?

  32. Can you send a link or any advice on breakfast ideas for the cleanse. I am having a hard time with that. I could not do any egg this morning and I had an advocare replacement bar. I just started the cleanse today? any suggestions.

      No bars on the cleanse. Look at the instructions. Your breakfast is fruit. You can also have hard boiled eggs.

  33. Is it okay to have regular dinner meals during phase 2 like wheat pasta with homemade tomato sauce and ground turkey , Turkey burgers on whole grain buns/bread ?

      For best results, use the meal plan suggested.

  34. What about green peas, black eyed peas or purple hull peas during the cleanse phase of Advocare?

      Peas are not suggested. Look at the list here.

  35. I’m on phase 2:: what about this dairy free, gluten free, soy free, lactose free, cholesterol free, organic, vegan mac & cheese? the noodles are made from brown rice? and what about a little biscoff instead of peanut butter with my apple or banana?

      No mac and cheese. NO biscoff (it is made of cookies!)

  36. Can you have silken tofu during phase 1 (10 day) or phase 2? I like to use it in berry smoothies. I am on day 6 of the 10 day cleanse

    1. Tofu is fine. You will enjoy your shakes on Phase II.

  37. i love to cook- any reason why i can’t turn fresh veggies into sauces and salsas if i dont add sugars or fat?

      It would depend on what other ingredients you plan to add.

  38. Just wondering, on day 1 do i conbine sparx and herbal cleanse or how far apart do i drink also , what is a good breakfast since im always on the go due to work.? I walk all day for 12 hrs is that suffice exercise what do u recommend ?

      Fruit with hard boiled eggs is our best suggestion. Follow the instructions Doing some cardio will help your results.

  39. Are gluten free products [i.e. bread, pasta] ok during the cleanse phase?

      No bread or pasta even if gluten free.
